Boromlia is timeline software, licensed as a hosted web application. Users record events one at a time. Each carries a date or a date range, a location, a description, photos and tags, and the timeline keeps them in order. Upload a batch of photos, up to 300 at a time, and it fills most of that in by itself, reading the date and place each photo was taken.
The same set of events is then read in multiple styles, without entering anything twice: an interactive timeline, a horizontal ribbon, a geographic map, a card deck, a Gantt of spans, a sortable data table, or a printable A4 document. Switching style is one click; the events underneath never change.
People use it for family history, for a life told in milestones, for holidays and hiking trips. It works for anything else that happens in order: a course, a renovation, a project at work, a story followed over months.
It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install. Prices are in US dollars: extra timeline slots are one-time purchases that never renew, and Advanced buys a month with no limits at all.
Work is private by default. A timeline stays visible only to its owner until they publish a read-only link, and publishing is reversible. Nothing is posted anywhere on the owner's behalf, there is no feed, and there is nobody else to follow. The software is sold outright as a licence to use a hosted application, not funded by advertising or by anything done with the contents of a timeline.
What it holds itself to: every timeline is private until its owner publishes it; every event has a field for its source; printing, PDF, CSV and photo exports are on every plan; there are no ads, no data sold and no models trained on anyone's content; and what changed is written up every week in the release notes.
